20 Clubs entered teams of 3 pairs to play for the Baron Rose Bowl and the Baron Rose team trophy at The Point at Polzeath on Monday. Despite heavy downpours in other parts of Cornwall, the players were able to play in breezy but sunny conditions. The format is 36 holes medal foursomes. The scoring was varied but Bude pair of Collette Burgess and Mandy Congdon won the Baron Rose Bowl with a 36 hole total of 142. Sarah Shobrook and Olivia Trewhela were 2nd with 148 followed by Mo Hammond and Carmel Connors from Falmouth.
The Baron Rose Bowl team trophy for the best team aggregate score was won by Perranporth Ladies team with a combined score of 460. The team was Vicky Lee Comyn, Mandy Wright, Sarah Shobrook, Olivia Trewhela, Anna Sendall and Nikki Hodge. Falmouth’s team was only 2 shots behind with 462.
