The annual Charity Coffee morning was held at Perranporth on Thursday. The weather was true to form for this year with strong winds and the rain came in after lunch. There were no more cobwebs to be blown away after 9 holes with some deciding that would be enough fresh air.
The Lady Captain’s Charity for 2018 is Starlight. This is a charity that aims to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children.
Everyone that played or just came for the cakes and coffee supported the event very generously by buying raffle tickets, cakes, guessing the tees in a jar and buying books. The Bag Lady was there as well as Atlantic Blankets.
Thanks to everyone who baked cakes, bought raffle prizes and helped generally to make the event go well.
The total raised on the day was £550 added to which a donation of £200 from Royal Mail via Jo Rysdale will make a total of £750 to go to Starlight.
