As is traditional the final of the CLCGA Gammon Trophy was held at Trevose. This year however in very testing conditions.
The wind was gale force but the showers thankfully were only short but very sharp. The standard of golf was excellent and Perranporth Ladies team won 7-0 against Carlyon Bay Golf Club Ladies. Perranporth were able to field the same team they had played all through the other rounds. Carlyon Bay had two players unable to play for various reasons but we are only able to play the team in front of us.

It was great to see so many people braving the conditions to watch the matches and support the team amongst them the Captain Paul,the President Tony and as usual Derek our Pro.
Thanks also to Trevose Golf club for hosting the event and a mention on the changes that have been made to the course and how brilliantly they have blended in. You wouldn’t know the new 4th green hadn’t always been like it, as well as the new bunkers around the course.
Well done Perranporth Ladies, you have put the icing on Mandy’s cake.
