There was an unwelcome visitor to the Charity Coffee morning held at Perranporth. Storm Jake blew in, and this did make the conditions more than a little difficult. Fortunately for the intrepid dozen who did venture out the rain was concentrated into brief heavy showers.
Despite the bad weather many of the 60 ladies entered still travelled to Perranporth to meet up with old friends and support the event which was held in aid of Captain Jackie’s charity The Cove Macmillan Support Centre.
There was a well stocked cake and produce table, Atlantic Blankets, and Lynne’s neck warmers along with a large raffle table.
An indoor putting competition was run with the eventual joint winners being Jan Harrison from Launceston and Carolyn Hill from St Enodoc both scoring 300 points. Penny Allen won the “guess the number of 5 p’s in a jar”
On the day £567 was raised and Jo Rysdale has been able to secure a £200 contribution from Royal Mail.
Considering the weather this was an amazing amount to go to The Cove Macmillan Support centre.
Thanks to everyone that came and supported and those that were helping to make it a very good day
