26 Ladies played the EWGA Medal which incorporated the Carnival Cup. The mist that had rolled in from the sea cleared just in time for the first tee time and the sun shone strongly. Factor 50 was required.
The rough was very thick and this was reflected in the scoring for those that strayed off the fairways.
The CSS was 72
In 1st place in Silver with a net 67, cutting her handicap from 12 to 11 and winning the Carnival Cup was Jackie Mallett.
In 2nd Silver with a net 72 was Sue Carveth.
In 3rd place Silver with a net 73 on Countback was Niki Wraight
The Best back 9 Silver was Vera Eade.
In 1st place Bronze with a net 72 was Dawn Emmerson who with 2 Stableford Point Reductions will have cut her handicap from 21 to 20.
In 2nd place with a net 73 was Debbie Douglas.
In 3rd place with a net 77 was Liz Gillman
The Best back 9 Bronze was Birgitta Varcoe.
