Typical Summer weather again at Falmouth, the cloudburst shortly before the first tee time led to a 30 minute delay. Then at lunchtime fog moved in and was bad enough to warrant a delay in play of 45 minutes. Once the fog cleared, play resumed uninterrupted and all the teams got around.
Falmouth have done the double this year, not only winning the Baron Bowl team trophy( in which Perranporth was 2nd) but their team today won the Bronze Shield with a team score of 240.
Perranporth came 2nd with a team total of 241
Killiow came 3rd with a team total of 248
The team were Mandy Wright, Jane Rowse, Lynne Fleming and Jacquie Lang.
The Andrews Bowl for the best scratch score was won by Mandy Wright with a gross 99.
In second place with a gross 100 was Dawn Emmerson (Killiow)
Well played to the whole Team and thanks to the caddies, Jan, Mike, Jenny and Birgitta, and also to the supporters Vicky, Vera and Conner.
