The weather was very pleasant and 63 Ladies from 10 Cornish clubs and a visitor from Canada played in the Charity Coffee Morning which was in aid of the British Heart Foundation. They were greeted with coffee and biscuits before going out to play.
In the Clubhouse were tables filled with various home-made items including bags, jewellery and a full range of arty crafty things. Also there was a couple of tables of books. The cake stall was absolutely laden with cakes of all shapes and sizes which had been donated by a large number of our members. The raffle table also was filled with prizes of all descriptions again all kindly donated by our members.
All the cakes were sold, books flew off the shelves and raffle tickets sold.
After adding up all the sales and entries the Coffee Morning made £850 ish. A very good amount which the British Heart Foundation will be most grateful for.
A big THANK YOU to all those that supported and contributed to the event in any way, and also the catering and bar staff that were most helpful.
Also my special thanks go to Jacquie Lang and Jane Rowse who helped man the tables all day.
